Double Dhamaal is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language comedy film, sequel to 2006's Dhamaal, which was declared the highest grossing Bollywood film of that year. The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Aashish Chaudhary, Shiney Ahuja and Anupam Kher. Double Dhamaal tells the story of four friends who are con artists. "Double Dhamaal" revolves around two sets of conmen/friends - Tony (Sanjay Dutt), Charlie (Sharman Joshi), Gogo (Riteish Deshmukh) and Adi (Aashish Chaudhary). Tony and Charlie belong to an age old con artist family and their father is in jail because of his involvement in a $100 million scam. They were separated from their younger brother Gogo, when they were young and didn't know of his whereabouts until they find him on one of their scams. Tony is an impulsive guy, who meets Ruby (Bipasha Basu) on the job, falls head over heels for her, marries her and settles down. He loses focus on his new life but he soon realises that he has conned the wrong man. The same night Ruby's husband kills her because Tony has given him the wrong medicine to get rich quick! Gogo is very enthusiastic about his job, but lacks common sense. He is the one who came up with the idea of conning, but gets conned by Adi (Anupam Kher) instead. He searches for Adi, thus having a few encounters with Himani (Shiney Ahuja), who he falls in love with. But fails to find him again - until he discovers his real identity; it is revealed that Adi is Gogo's brother! The music has been given by Advait Mishra. The lyrics have been penned by Anand Bakshi and Neelesh Misra, Avdesh Tiwari, Javed Akhtar and Nirmal Verma. Micheal Sagut composed the background music. The full album contains four songs, each sung by a different artist. The soundtrack was released on 28 December 2009. The film did average business at the box office. According to Box Office India, "Double Dhamaal" netted approximately Rs. 20 million during its opening weekend in India, representing 35% of its distributor's share. The film received mixed reviews from critics, though majority of them praised Sanjay Dutt's performance in the film. Nikhat Kazmi of Times Of India gave it 3 out of 5 stars and said that "It’s an unpretentious comedy with every character having a distinct characteristic and good lines for each one!". Taran Adarsh from bollywoodhungama.com gave the film a score of 2.5 out of 5 and said that "Sanjay Dutt is absolutely brilliant in the role of a schemer caught in an unexpected predicament with a complex story, neatly executed by director Anil Sharma, who has infused tremendous amount of energy into the film despite its eminently mild tone. The performances are quite good, although there is little scope for improvement. The music too is not up to the mark". cfa1e77820
